Thank you to everyone who attended our 19th Annual Symposium, 'The Impending Crisis,' on February 17th! Our symposium speakers provided attendees with insightful presentations about the cause of the civil war. We hope that you will join us again next year and attend the opening of our newest exhibition, ' The Impending Crisis, ' in Spring 2024.
Edward Ayers is a university professor of the humanities and president emeritus at the University of Richmond. He has won the Bancroft and Lincoln Prizes for his scholarship, been named National Professor of the Year, received the National Humanities Medal from President Obama at the White House, served as president of the Organization of American Historians, andwas the founding board chair of the American Civil War Museum in Richmond. He is a featured speaker of the ACWM's 2024 Symposium, titled "The Impending Crisis".
