Lifestyle can mean different things to different people. For some, it may simply be code for "how you live your life." Others may use the term to describe a more specific aspect of their lives, such as their workstyle or homestyle. No matter how you define it, lifestyle is an important part of who we are and how we see the world. There are all sorts of things that contribute to our lifestyles, from the big-picture items like our careers and where we live, to the smaller details like our decor choices and relationships. Even the holidays we celebrate can say a lot about our lifestyle. All of these factors come together to create a unique lifestyle for each of us. And while our lifestyles may change over time, they always provide a window into who we are and what's important to us.
Seed funding is the initial capital investment that a startup or entrepreneur receives to launch their business idea and bring it to market. This investment usually comes from angel investors, venture capitalists, or other private investors and helps the entrepreneur validate their concept, build their team, and develop their product or service. There are several
If you’ve been following my social media for a while, you know that I am always on the lookout for new holy grail products. Tarte has come to the rescue a few times for me (especially with their Shape Tape Glow Powder!) and I’m a big fan of their makeup. (This post has my full makeup routine.) Tarte’s female-founded, cruelty-free brand has stood the test of time. Started by Maureen Kelly out of her 1 bedroom NYC apartment in 1999, Tarte has been clinically proven to deliver reliable makeup with ingredients that can actually be pronounced. Some of their more popular products include the beloved Shape Tape Concealer, Amazonian Clay Foundation and their Maracuja Juicy Lip products. Tarte has many great concealers to choose from, but lately their Ultra Creamy Concealer has been my go-to. I look for a concealer that covers imperfections without creating cakiness or dry patches. When I learned that the Shape Tape had a more hydrating cousin, I ran to try it out. In short, I love it. So today, I’m sharing why! Tarte Ultra Creamy Concealer Review There are SO many reasons I love this concealer, but let’s break down the basics. Hydrating The Tarte […]

Last month, Tommy and I spent a few days in Dominica and I wanted to share more about our visit since there is only so much that Instagram posts can show and the resort should be at the top of your list! As always, we used Heather Christopher Travel to help plan our trip. (We will literally NEVER plan a big trip without her, especially international.) We reached out to her last September and let her know that we wanted to plan and anniversary trip. Our anniversary is in October, but we told her we wanted to travel somewhere in January or February to get a little escape from winter. This post goes more into details about her travel planning process. In short, she sent us a few different options and she told us that based on what she knows about us and what we were looking for, her top recommendation was Secret Bay in Dominica (not to be confused with the Dominican Republic). I trust Heather completely after booking multiple trips with her (including our honeymoon and Ireland) so we booked our trip and then I promptly started the process of renewing my passport! 😉 We flew from Charlotte […]
Buying a pair of glasses online is always a bit of a gamble. Customers picture it looking one way only to find the dimensions are all wrong for their face. They might try to convince themselves that the sunglasses work (if only to save them the hassle of trying to send them back), but it’s
Hey friends! Another Monday is upon us and I hope you’re entering the week feeling rested and rejuvenated. We had a full weekend but it was relatively relaxed, all things considered. We kicked things off with a night in on Friday. We spent most of the day on Friday with friends and by the evening... Read More »
In Hinduism we believe in karmas meaning we get what we deserve according to what we did in our past lives. If we did good, we will get a great life but if we performed bad, we will not have a good life. It is said that what goes around, that comes around too. Isn’t…
One of the questions I get most often as it relates to fashion content is about what shoes to wear with non-skinny jeans. I completely understand the confusion because when I first tried on non-skinny jeans, they felt SO weird and difficult to style. When you’re used to a very slim fitting pant and then try something looser, it definitely feels different. But now that I’m used to them, I LOVE mom jeans. They’re more comfortable, more flattering, easier to dress up and down, and definitely on-trend. I haven’t worn skinny denim jeans in months because I love mom jeans so much. But I also understand that learning what shoes look best with them feels a little challenging at first (mostly because you’re also getting used to how the new jeans look and feel on your frame!). In this post, I’m going to share how I style the mom jeans in my closet, what shoes I don’t like to wear with them, and give you a few ideas mom jeans outfit ideas. The below video also shows you how various shoes look with my longest pair of mom jeans and what shoes NOT to wear! What Shoes to Wear with […]
