As November rolls in, we’re reminded that it’s National Diabetes Awareness Month—a time to reflect on the impact of diabetes, its rising prevalence, and how we can all take steps to prevent it. For many, diabetes is a personal issue. This month, I want to share some insights that might help raise awareness and inspire action.
May month is devoted to raising awareness of eye health issues, which includes preventive measures that help individuals optimize their vision, empowering them to safeguard their eyes and live a happy life. During Healthy Vision Month, we want to share with you some of the most effective tips for protecting your vision. So, let us begin without wasting any time.
June is Child Vision Awareness Month. The purpose of this month is “to better educate and counsel the public on children’s vision problems and detection of eye diseases in children and infants. And, to increase the number of school-aged children who have an eye exam by an Optometrist or Ophthalmologist and increase the number of children with learning disabilities who have a developmental vision exam to rule out vision problems.”
Sunglasses are made with lenses that can be either polarized or non-polarized. Polarized lenses are coated with a special film that allows only vertical light rays to pass through while blocking horizontal light rays. This feature reduces glare, which is especially beneficial for activities such as driving or water sports.
