British car brand Jaguar, which is part of the Jaguar Land Rover Group (JLR) — now owned by Tata Motors — will slowly phase out combustion engines. This will mean moving production away from the JLR Castle Bromwich plant to Solihull. Though, chief executive Thierry Bollore said JLR is “exploring opportunities to repurpose” the Castle Bromwich factory.
This is the first major redesign of the Model S since its launch in 2012 and there are a few notable features from the interior layout to an updated range. The Model X is also getting an updated interior. This improves on the interiors of the Model 3 and Model Y.

Scottish bus builder Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL) has announced its next-generation hydrogen double-decker bus. Developed under the project name H2.0, the model is due to hit the roads this year and will have a range of up to 300 miles, or around 480 km.
The Chinese automaker recently unveiled its flagship electric saloon, the ET7, which will start to roll out in China in 2022 after a pre-order period. What makes this car so exciting is the range. With three battery options planned — 70kWh, 100kWh, and 150kWh — NIO puts the achievable range at 500, 700, and 1000 km respectively. (That’s 310, 430, and 621 miles.)

The US automaker promised a full self-driving (FSD) subscription to be ready for 2020 but a recent tweet from Tesla CEO Elon Musk suggests it can now be expected early next year. In the US, FSD costs an extra $10,000 on top of the vehicle. A subscription could open this up this feature to people who lease their vehicles.

While Ford’s last quarter sales were down $2.3billion, there’s a spark of hope in the automaker’s plans. Ford also announced a doubling of its investment in electrified vehicles to $22 billion through to 2025 and an increase in its total investment in automated driving to $7 billion from $4 billion.
To speed up its electric plans, carmaker Volkswagen has presented its ‘Accelerate’ strategy, also announcing model plans even if they were sparse in detail. Volkswagen’s aim is to increase its share of pure-electric cars, doubling its previous plan of a 35 per cent increase, with sales in Europe rising to over 70 per cent by 2030
