Ever found yourself following directions but still feeling lost? As leaders, we often think we've communicated enough—but have we truly shared the why behind the what? Before you give your next set of instructions, ask yourself: Are you guiding, or just sending your team into the unknown? Curious what a protein bar, a cabin, and a lesson in leadership have in common? That journey was more than a rite of passage. It was a deep apprenticeship in the wild, where I learned to listen to the land, to the stories that haunt us, and to the wisdom that emerges when we allow ourselves to be truly witnessed by nature. Alongside the traditional quest, I immersed myself in wilderness therapy, learning to guide others through their own transformative thresholds.
The wild taught me that leadership isn’t about authority or control. It’s about listening deeply, carrying the wisdom of our wounds, and standing as a guide for others as they face their own unknowns. In the tradition of Sacred Time, becoming an elder means embracing the responsibility to witness, to nurture, and to serve the community with humility and courage.
Transitions are rarely easy. They ask us to leave behind what is familiar, to face uncertainty, and to trust in the unfolding of something new. During my wilderness quest and apprenticeship, I learned that every transition—whether chosen or thrust upon us—holds the potential for profound transformation.
Now I see AI as a way to scale humanity. Over six weeks with Paula Gill and Nicole Venner, I learned how to use AI as a real partner—not just a tool—to clear my head and prepare for important conversations. Instead of carrying mental clutter into human interactions, I offloaded it first, which freed me to engage with more focus and authenticity.
What if the wisdom you need for tomorrow is already here—waiting to be gathered? I’ve been reflecting on how we meet change, and what it means to truly prepare for what’s next. Curious? Read on and see what emerges. #SacredTime #Transformation #Leadership #Ecopsychology

Doubt is a Detour. How do you recalculate your route? In a moment that gave me goosebumps, I heard a client say one thing but in my mind I realized Doubt is a Detour. While it can be challenging to recognize when you’re sinking into the quicksand of avoidance, we must figure it out—for our growth and for those we lead." Here are 2 strategies that can help...
Yes we can do all things, but should we? Recently I realized if I don't want my calendar filled up with nonsense I have to have some sense in what I choose to accept. For me this came down to what I'm willing to do vs. what I prefer to do. How does the stance you take impact the answer you give?

"Coaching Question: In what ways is an individual, team, or the entire organization leaving behind everything they have known? PRO TIP: How you respond to the release of steam (stress) can set the tone for the rest of the assignment."
Excerpt from Master Coach: "In order for the client to move forward (and on) they would need to have enough trust in themselves to do that. This also means that I need to reframe what I identify as my success, because it’s not in what I do, it’s in what the client learns about themselves."
Granted, you might be the Planner that never makes it to the action stage, or the Dreamer that resists the urge to plan. In any event, there is you, the thing that you want or need, and the only thing that is stopping you from getting started is… well…you.
