Our adventure in Malaysian Borneo took us from the Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary to the Sepilok Conservation Centres, where we saw the incredible work being done to protect endangered species. The highlight was cruising the Kinabatangan River, spotting pygmy elephants, crocodiles, and monkeys in their natural habitat. It was a journey of discovery, connection, and a deeper appreciation for Borneo’s wild beauty.
Travel, much like life, is full of surprises. When we let go of rigid expectations and allow ourselves to be present, we open the door to genuine experiences that enrich our lives in ways we couldn’t have imagined.
Welcome to Copenhagen, the capital city of Denmark and one of the most engaging and fun capitals we ever visited with our kids! There is so much to do here that our 5 days were not enough to explore it all. However, our time here made us want to come back again soon!
I have realized that watching your kids grow up is both beautiful and extremely difficult as a parent. Why? You must find the courage to let go of a part of you during that process. The part of you that for years has been taking care of them and nurturing them in every moment.
As we entered Belgium with our campervan, our first stop was in the enchanting city of Bruges. Known by many as the Venice of the North due to its many canals all around, we felt entirely captivated by it immediately and extended our stay from a few days to over five just after our first night!
Our family visited one of the world's smallest countries: the Republic of San Marino! For this adventure, we had other travel companions join us: all of the grandparents! Mass's parents and my mother were in the same country for the first time since we started traveling full-time, so we thought it would give us the perfect opportunity to take them along on an adventure with us!
This country has been on our bucket list for a long time, but we could never make our way there. Finally, plans fell into place last December, so we could make this trip happen. There is a right time for everything, and this was the right one for this trip. Our trip unfolded entirely differently than we thought when planning it.
