The Iowa State Cyclones faced off against the VCU Rams in a thrilling prime-time Thanksgiving game on ESPN2. The game unfolded with the Cyclones ultimately edging the Rams in the final 2 minutes with a final score of 68 to 64.
VCU has been tested in every contest this year under new Head Coach, Ryan Odom, but the degree of difficulty ramps up significantly tonight when VCU tips up the ESPN Events Invitational against kenpom No.13, Iowa State.
In a thrilling contest at the Siegel Center, senior guard Zeb Jackson lit up the court with a career-high 20 points, steering VCU to a comeback victory over Seattle on Saturday. The late-game heroics of sophomores Tobi Lawal and Jason Nelson played a pivotal role in securing the win.
