2023 Kia Seltos now gets ADAS with more affordable GTX | Cartoq

Kia has launched two new variants of the Seltos, which is the heavily updated facelift that was recently introduced. These two new variants are the GTX+(S) and X-Line (S), essentially adding higher-spec options to the facelifted Kia Seltos lineup. Positioned between the HTX+, GTX+, and X-Line variants, these new additions come with several additional features compared to the base variants. The GTX+(S) fits between the HTX+ and GTX+ models, offering added features like ADAS level-2 with 17 autonomous functions, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, R18 machined alloy wheels, and a sporty all-black roof lining. It also includes a 6-speaker audio system and a reverse camera, replacing the surround view monitor and BOSE audio systems found in the GTX+ variant. The GTX+(S) costs approximately Rs 20,000 more than the HTX+. It shares the same powertrain as the GTX+(S) and is priced at Rs 19.59 lakh. Available with all engine options Both variants are available with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, producing 160 PS of maximum power and 253 Nm of torque. The GTX+(S) is priced at Rs 19.39 lakh. Additionally, both variants offer a 1.5-liter diesel engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission, delivering 115 PS of maximum power and 250 Nm of torque. The GTX+(S) diesel-automatic is priced at Rs 19.40 lakh, while the X-Line (S) diesel-automatic costs Rs 19.60 lakh. Currently, the Kia Seltos has a waiting period of 15-16 weeks across its variant lineup. Kia aims to reduce this waiting period to 7-9 weeks ahead of the festive season to meet the increased demand. The Kia Seltos also offers a 1.5-liter 115 PS naturally-aspirated petrol engine with 6-speed manual and CVT gearbox options, along with a diesel engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The Kia Seltos competes with other midsize SUVs such as the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Hyundai Creta, MG Astor, Citroen C3 Aircross, and Honda Elevate.
