Euroleague Basketball Euroleague is the top flight of European professional basketball, consisting of 24 teams from across Europe. The league was founded in 2000 as a merger of the FIBA European Champions Cup and the Euroleague. It is the highest level of European club basketball, and the second-tier competition is the Eurocup. Euroleague teams compete in various domestic leagues, as well as the Euroleague itself, and the champion of the Euroleague is crowned the European champion.
Because of fans’ actions, the game between the EuroLeague Women and EuroCup Women champions, which was held in Istanbul and featured two teams from the city, was delayed and played in an empty. Led by Emma Meesseman and Gabby Williams, Fenerbahçe prevailed over Beşiktaş, 79-63.
