Here you can find news, articles and videos about Professor X and the X-Men.
Oh good. Another X-event. I suppose when you have what is essentially a universe of heroes (mutants) inside a universe of heroes (Earth-616), telling global stories about the sub-group in event form makes a kind of sense. But it's also dizzying. This one is actually good, though--so that helps, too.…
Well, this didn't take long. In the last arc, Professor X was killed. This led Cyclops to disband the X-Men. There are a few scenes with the X-Men, like a little fight between Frenzy and Omega Sentinel, but this mostly about the Professor. In this arc, which immediately follows that…
Marvel released two anthology issues to mark "Divided We Stand," the next phase of X-Men comics after the "death" of Professor X and the "disbanding" of the X-Men by Cyclops. Each issue had multiple stories. This post is just on issue #1. Story #1, by Mike Carey and Brandon Peterson,…
The X-Men comics have introduced readers to some of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe, and they did it from the beginning. Professor X was the most powerful telepath on the planet, and while Magneto wouldn’t get the godlike powers he has right now right away, he was still powerful enough to fight […]
The X-Men are well-known for tackling morally complex issues with no clear right or wrong answer. In the name of fighting against mutant oppression, the line between hero and villain has always been blurry at best. Both heroes and villains have fought to protect mutantkind from human supremacists. Professor X’s main philosophy is one of […]
This one-shot takes place in the past and features a team of '80s creative all-stars... It's a quiet tale about the early days of the FBI's task force against mutants. Way, way back in '60s X-Men, Professor X was briefly associating with Fred [LAST NAME}, the agent in charge of…
Professor X is getting a better working understanding of Cerebro--the device that boosts his own psychic powers to enable expanded mutant-finding capabilities--and the result triggers nightmares of breakfast with Blob... There's not much here in terms of content, but it's a nice little story with humor and action (albeit, it's…
This series has been doing excellent one-and-done stories that take place "between" the old Lee/Kirby X-Men issues. This is a foray into a two-issue story. Like all the other issues of this series so far, it's a home run. Professor X summons the team to go to Monster Island. Once…
In the final issue of this maxi-series, the kids team up with Gorilla Man and have an adventure in Africa where Bobby has to freeze some hippos before they eat him. Professor X has gotten lost there, so the team have to recover him. Solid story, but not the…
