It’s Ralph Lauren, Johnstons of Elgin, and Boden for Scotland Visit Day Two – What Kate Wore

The Princess of Wales returned to casual designs for the second day of a visit to Scotland. The Prince and Princess started their day with a trip to the Ardura Community Forest. The Mull and Iona Community Trust notes the forest is ...a place for gentle recreation, experiencing nature, finding solace and reflecting on cultural and personal links to our ancestors who used the forest before us. In a small and remote community, where indoor leisure facilities are limited, the forest provides a much-needed space for islanders to meet and socialise. For children and their families to play and learn together, connecting with each other to reduce loneliness and boost wellbeing.    The couple met Countryside Rangers from the Mull and Iona Ranger Service. A Kensington Palace news release reports: The Mull and Iona Ranger Service plays a vital role in conservation, biodiversity protection, visitor management and education on the islands. Countryside Rangers lead guided events for visitors and the resident community – regularly partnering with local primary schools to ensure that every child on the islands has the opportunity to experience the beautiful natural environment around them. Below, the couple with an unidentified woman and Moray Finch (right), the Mull and Iona Community Trust general manager. We learn more from The Telegraph's story by Hannah Furness.  Work, now partially funded by a donation from the Royal Foundation, is underway to protect and restore the forest and its vulnerable wildlife, which includes marsh fritillary butterflies, pine martens, hen harriers, otters, eagles and the very rare hazel glove fungus. The Royal Foundation and United For Wildlife will now be funding two rangers in the forest.  The Prince and Princess also met members of the Ardura Acorns, an early years outdoor learning play group. Here you see her with Briar Garlick, age three. We return to The Telegraph story.  One mother wished her a happy anniversary, and asked her whether they had enjoyed their time on Mull. “It’s an amazing place to be on our anniversary,” the Princess replied. The Acorns' activities include following nature trails, building dens, storytelling, and tracking animals.  More from The Daily Mirror's article by Russell Myers.  The Princess of Wales has spoken of the need for children to get outdoors as much as they can on the second day of a visit to a remote forest on the Isle of Mull.  Meeting a group of excited children after being presented with a miniature bouquet of flowers by one toddler, Kate, 43, spoke to locals about the benefits of being out in nature amidst the stunning surrounding. The future queen added: It’s the small things that are important. Back to The Daily Mirror piece.  “What an amazing set up”, the princess enthused. “We are very lucky with the weather, it’s a very nice day for it”, remarked the prince. Kate chatted about studies which have long shown the benefits of the natural world on mental and well as physical health, issued which have been close to her heart since being diagnosed with cancer last February.  One more portion of The Daily Mirror story.  The couple then set out chatting to all the families, the princess hunkering down on her heels to have a look at a pretend pair of binoculars made out of two toilet rolls that were being held by one toddler.  Sally MacColl was at the event with her daughter Rosie-May, four, and has run the Tobermory Fish Company producing smoked salmon and trout since 2011. It was set up by her grandparents 50 years ago. She said: “When I heard they were coming I sent some smoked trout to the princess and when I met her yesterday she told me she had tried it and loved it. I am very passionate about championing the Mull larder we have here. “We come to Ardura Acorns every week, come rain or shine. We pay a small donation and the children get to forage and do scavenger hunts. It’s lovely to get them outdoors and we have this beautiful world on our doorstep. We are so lucky.” The UK's Forest Stewardship Council notes, The forest covers 200 hectares, comprising rare Atlantic rainforest, which is as internationally important as tropical rainforest but even more unique due to the globally rare fungi, lichen and plant species.   Prince William noted that “For a family, you really couldn’t get any better than this.” More from this East Lothian Courier story.  Kate crouched down to speak to some of the children learning about their environment through simple tasks such as gathering flowers, and she later played with the youngsters by the neighbouring River Lussa, as they threw sticks into the water. Jan Dunlop from the Mull and Iona Ranger Service hosted much of the visit, and she said later about the couple: “I think they loved it, I think they really did. Catherine would have stayed all day and you could see when she got to the water, that was it.” Following the forest engagement, the Prince and Princess visited Pennyghael Community Hall, a location receiving a grant from the Royal Foundation's Community Impact Programme.  A Kensington Palace social media post said, Proud to support the renovation here at Pennyghael Community Hall through The Royal Foundation's Community Impact Programme, helping refresh a welcoming space for families, locals, and visitors alike. The social media post describes the hall as a space rooted in heritage and powered by community. A Hello article reports, Its indoor communal spaces will be renovated and vital roof repairs will take place to future-proof the building – ensuring that it continues to be utilised for generations to come. After their stop at the hall, the royals then headed to Fionnphort. They were there to catch the CalMac ferry to the Isle of Iona. The population of Iona is roughly 130, but the Isle receives about 130,000 visitors every year. Cameron Walker of GBNews shared a video of the couple speaking with staff operating the ferry.  “We’ve chosen a good day to come!” - Catherine, Princess of Wales / Duchess of Rothesay ☀️ The Lord and Lady of the Isles meet @CalMacFerries staff, before boarding a ferry to Iona to spend time with the tiny local community. pic.twitter.com/3Q9pwx8jce — Cameron Walker (@CameronDLWalker) April 30, 2025 More from The Standard's story. After greeting the well-wishers who lined the pier, the couple spoke with ferry staff, asking them about the challenges of running services, particularly in bad weather.  Mull port manager Carrie-Anne Clark was one of those who spoke with the royal couple, and described their visit as “lovely”. “It’s been such a lovely day, and to see everyone out lining the pier here to see them, it’s been lovely,” the 36-year-old said. A Kensington Palace news release notes, The three ferry routes between the mainland and Mull all carry vehicles and foot passengers; however, the one route between the Isle of Iona and Mull permits vehicles for local residents only.  The couple speaking with crew on the ferry's bridge. In this image, you can see the vessel as it is about to dock at Iona.  Embed from Getty Imageswindow.gie=window.gie||function(c){(gie.q=gie.q||[]).push(c)};gie(function(){gie.widgets.load({id:'MjAUp038TuZm_TpbxeOLpg',sig:'yrzXkMbhAMv1dXf7g4iimp_GDFbAQBI4dbzXZA0xlFA=',w:'594px',h:'396px',items:'2212130131',caption: true ,tld:'com',is360: false })}); Vehicular access on the island is limited as there isn't enough space or infrastructure to deal with a large number of cars or other motorized vehicles. The BBC reports that when the couple arrived, and ...hopped off the ferry, there was time for a quick photograph with comedian, broadcaster and mental health campaigner Ruby Wax, who now spends much of her time on Iona. Below, the royals with Ms. Wax. This is from a Daily Mail piece.  [Ms. Wax] revealed that she was on a ‘silent retreat’ to the island. She said: ‘I’ve met him before, I think it’s funny because I am on a retreat here. And i thought ‘why are they interrupting my silent retreat’? [but] You can break the silent retreat for this. So it was thrilling . I didn’t realise he was so good-looking. He looks like his mother. ‘ While on Iona, the couple visited the historic Iona Abbey and Nunnery.  We learn more about the Benedictine Abbey via Historic Environment Scotland. Take the foot ferry to Iona and step off onto one of Scotland’s most sacred sites. Around 1200, the sons of Somerled – ‘King of the Isles’ – founded a Benedictine abbey here. Pilgrimage to St Columba’s Shrine continued to thrive, though monastic life on Iona ended with the Protestant Reformation of 1560. It’s thought that the world famous Book of Kells was made here, along with other great works of art. Iona’s Abbey Museum houses Scotland’s finest collection of early medieval carved stones and crosses. We return to the East Lothian Courier story.  When they boarded the vessel for the short journey to Iona the couple spoke about the “fantastic” time they had on the Isle of Mull where they had spent much of their two-day visit and celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary. The couple spent more than two hours on the Isle of Iona.  Here you see the Princess doing some shopping at a gift shop. UPDATE: With thanks to Susan for her comment, it looks like the Princess was at the Iona Craft Shop in the photo shown above. Susan notes in her comment, I just ordered a hat from the shop to ship to the US and it arrived within a week – they also have lovely sweaters! The shop's sweaters do look terrific! The couple spent time meeting residents at a reception.  The get-together was held at the village hall.  Kensington Palace shared a few posts as the couple's visit wrapped up and they headed back to Windsor. Here is the first.  Thank you for making us so welcome! It was fantastic to see such a resilient and resourceful community. pic.twitter.com/C8uX0u3guL — The Prince and Princess of Wales (@KensingtonRoyal) April 30, 2025 And here is the second.  The remarkable Isle of Iona holds a special place in Scotland’s history where deep-rooted traditions meet the challenges of modern island life. From crofting and fishing to volunteer-led initiatives, Iona thrives through collective strength and shared purpose. pic.twitter.com/har1lj11jX — The Prince and Princess of Wales (@KensingtonRoyal) April 30, 2025 And now for our look at what Kate wore today. The Princess was in a design by Ralph Lauren Collection, the brand's Schmitt Blazer ($2600) in a nubby blend of herringbone silk and linen. The style is based on classic utility jackets, with shoulder epaulets, notched lapels, chest and hip flap pockets, an interior drawstring cord at the waist, and a double back vent. I show the jacket at Harrods; it is also available in limited sizes at Net-a-Porter, as well as at Saks, and at Farfetch. Here is a closer look at some of the details. Thanks to Middleton Maven for making this ID yesterday when she saw the couple's social media post after their day on the Isle of Mull. Beneath the jacket, the Princess wore a new sweater by Johnstons of Elgin, the heritage brand offering designs made in Scotland. The Classic Cashmere V-Neck ($585) is 100% cashmere, with a loose fit and ribbing at the neck and cuffs. Thank you to Middleton Maven for also making this ID! The Princess sported a shirt we've not seen before in one of her favorite fabrics, Broderie Anglaise, also known as eyelet. While the top initially looked like the Mabel Shirt by MiH Jeans worn at the 2019 Chelsea Flower Show, that piece has three-quarter-length sleeves, and the shirt worn today has full-length sleeves. It turns out the garment is a past-season Boden design, the brand's Broderie Frill Cotton Shirt ($60, most recent price, now sold out). The piece is 100% cotton with polyester used for the embroidery, with a loose fit described as a swing shape. The shirt has a front half-placket, bluson sleeves, and two-button cuffs. It is a trifecta for Middleton Maven today, as she also identified this garment. I have added some repliKates for this item to consider here. We saw the return of the GSTAR Ultra-High Waist Kafey Cargo Pants ($70, other colors available here). The Princess repeated her See by Chloé boots. The Princess brought back her Spells of Love Removable Teardrop Garnet Charm Hoops (£89, about $118) in sterling silver with 18K gold vermeil and ethically sourced garnets. She also repeated the Daniella Draper necklaces seen yesterday: her Trio Diamond Midnight Moon Necklace ($1800) personalized with George, Charlotte, and Louis’s initials, and her Gold Fixed Alphabet Necklace ($500), also with the children’s initials. The Wales Family at VE Day 80th Anniversary Celebrations – What Kate Wore

The Princess of Wales chose familiar pieces for today's VE Day 80th anniversary events. The Wales children joined their parents and other Royal Family members for today's military procession and flypast, while Prince George also attended a Buckingham Palace tea party with the adults. It is the first of four days of official celebrations honoring Victory in Europe Day, eighty years ago—more from the BBC's coverage. The occasion commemorates the end of nearly six years of war in Europe on 8 May 1945 when Nazi German forces surrendered unconditionally to the Allies in World War Two. The military procession - involving more than 1,300 people, including members of the Armed Forces - made its way from Parliament Square to Buckingham Palace. Below, the King and Queen as they arrived for today's parade. The Wales family as they walked to the viewing stand. The Mail reports Ms. Trew enlisted in the Women's Auxiliary Air Force aged 17 in 1944 and served as a wireless operator working at RAF Chicksands Priory in Bedfordshire, a station taking Morse code messages from stations in Germany. The veteran joined the Women's Junior Air Corps when she was 17. Here you see 101-year-old Barbara Bunce as she arrived for the parade. This is the first time Prince George has attended a tea or garden party at Buckingham Palace. The Princess with guests. More via The Telegraph's piece.  Veterans from the Royal Navy, British Army, RAF, Wrens, Special Operations Executives, D-Day and Desert Rats, as well as 20 Second World War-era civilians, including evacuees, have all been invited as guests of honour to the tea party at the Palace. Among them are Joyce Wilding, 100, of “Churchill’s Secret Army”, and Ruth Bourne, 98, a Wren at Bletchley Park. Both were in the crowds outside Buckingham Palace in 1945, celebrating VE Day. The two princes with 99-year-old Douglas Austen Hyde, who is also called Dougie. Mr. Hyde joined the Merchant Navy in 1944, when he was just 18. This Hello story has more.  He started out working as a 'fireman' stoking boilers and later, he joined a secret operation to liberate Europe, spending months going back and forth to the beaches deploying munitions and amphibious vehicles.  Showing an avid interest, George asked the former seaman: Did you ever get shot at? and Did you ever see a U-boat? After their chat, Dougie said: I was very impressed with the lad’s interest. I told him luckily I wasn’t ever shot at but we did lose one of our fleet in the Channel. He was very polite and listened with interest. Whenever I used to do talks to young kids, that's all you ever wanted, for them to listen and have a little understanding of those days.  There were guests inside and outside this afternoon. Inside, people dined on large tables in the Marble Hall, decorated in bunting made from fabrics recycled from the royal estate.  Some in attendance watched the flypast.  Here you see the Princess of Wales with Joy Trew, the veteran seated next to King Charles for the parade. More from The Daily Mail's article.  George and William spoke with Royal Engineers veteran Alfred Littlefield, 101, who served during D-Day, as William spoke of the importance of preserving veterans' stories. William smiled as he shook hands with veterans and said it was 'very important' for George and the 'next generation' to hear the stories from those who fought in the war. George listened intently as his father chatted to Mr Littlefield and William later told veteran Douglas Hyde, who joined the merchant navy aged 18 in 1944, that his son was 'very keen' to ask the ex-serviceman some questions. Kensington Palace posted on social media about today's events. A pleasure also to meet with veterans at this afternoon’s tea party. The Queen was in a sapphire blue wool crepe dress and coat by Fiona Clare. She wore her 12th Royal Lancers Brooch; she is the Lancers' Colonel-in-Chief. It is also her late father's regiment. The Duchess of Edinburgh wore a gingham coat by Suzannah London, with a Jane Taylor hatband, and Christian Dior earrings. Princess Charlotte appeared to wear the same black watch tartan coat she wore on Christmas Day. It looks like she may have worn a matching dress today, with a hint of lace trim at the collar. NOTE: Thank you to Bonnie and Brenda for their comments pointing out this is not a true black watch pattern.   Now, for our look at what Kate wore for the day's engagements, an Emilia Wickstead dress and hat by Sean Barrett. The midi-length Emilia Wickstead design features a fitted bodice, peak lapels, an applied waistband, and a full, pleated skirt. You see the dress and hat in these three photos as they were initially worn for the South Africa state visit in November 2022.  The pillbox hat sat atop the Princess's long, waved hair. The hat is a classic pillbox style with a jaunty bow in the back. It is the same style the Princess wore in blue for the March 2022 Commonwealth service, seen below right. The photo on the left is from the state visit. We saw the return of a pair of pumps by Ralph Lauren, the retailer's Celia style ($750), first noted in September 2020. The Celia is a classic point-toe pump in calfskin with a 4″ heel. The Princess wore a pair of earrings we've not seen previously, with a single ruby drop surrounded by diamonds suspended from three graduated diamonds. The earrings appear to match a ruby and diamond pendant, which was first noted during the July 2017 Poland visit. The second photo from the right shows the pendant as worn on the Poland trip. She also wore her RAF wings pin. NOTE: With thanks to HRHDHD for their comment, the pendant worn today has a different bail than that worn in Poland. It's possible it is a different piece, perhaps made to match the earrings.   The Princess brought back the Nigel Milne triple-strand pearl bracelet that originally belonged to Diana, Princess of Wales. The bracelet was part of a 1988 collection, featuring three strands of cultured pearls with diamond and pearl spacers and clasp. We will see you on Thursday for the VE Day 80 Service of Thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey.

It was a reminder that as time continues to claim first-hand witnesses to the war, the younger generation will shoulder responsibility for remembrance.  Sir Winston Churchill's ten-year-old great-great-grandson, Alexander Churchill, lit a candle of peace.  A brief video.  Alexander Churchill, great-great grandson of Sir Winston Churchill. #WestminsterAbbey #Churchill #VEDay80 pic.twitter.com/LbD43BfkTl — fan of….Audrey fforbes-Hamilton (@audrey_fforbes) May 8, 2025 More from The Telegraph's piece by Hannah Furness.   After completing his task, the youngster, dressed in a suit and tie, stood proudly with his hands clasped and smiled at the Very Reverend Dr David Hoyle, Dean of Westminster, who mouthed: “Well done.” After the service, members of the Royal Family spoke with veterans.  The Princess with a veteran.  Another image of the King.  Embed from Getty Imageswindow.gie=window.gie||function(c){(gie.q=gie.q||[]).push(c)};gie(function(){gie.widgets.load({id:'uy5-S8cET411Dtry9yZyTA',sig:'L9HREHO65xGr3zIKAu5XPcSo047eny9uAE2iUOHh0pQ=',w:'594px',h:'417px',items:'2213394897',caption: true ,tld:'com',is360: false })}); And one more of the Princess.  As they exited the church, women of the royal family were given flowers.   The Princess. More on the flowers via this Daily Mirror story.  The blooms were picked yesterday within the walls of Windsor Castle and the surrounding estate. They included rosemary for remembrance, oak for endurance and bluebells, which traditionally represent gratitude. The bouquets were then placed at the Abbey's Innocent Victims' Memorial, created to ...remember civilians, men, women and children, who have suffered death, torture and oppression throughout the world. Here you see Alexander Churchill with John Morris, age 103. Mr. Morris is the last surviving member of the Raiding Support Regiment (RSR), an offshoot of the Special Air Service. Now for our look at what Kate wore for the service. We begin with her Alessandra Rich dress, first noted at Order of the Garter ceremonies in 2023. The dress, customized for the Princess, is 100% silk and features a high neck, padded shoulders, pleating, a deep back vent, and a concealed back zipper. Here you see an off-the-rack version of the style, shown as it was stocked at Cettire (sold out).  The Princess's hair was styled in an elaborate updo. Some of you may have recognized the hat by milliner Juliette Botterill, the Flower and Feather Teardrop style. As the name suggests, the style features a teardrop-shaped base with feathers and flowers. The design was initially worn on Remembrance Sunday 2024. The Princess had a birdcage mourning veil added to her hat. The Princess brought back her Ralph Lauren Celia Pumps ($750), first noted in September 2020.  And she repeated her handbag by DeMellier London, the British accessory maker's Nano Montreal style ($450). The bag measures 7 x 6  and has a tubular top handle; it also comes with a removable/adjustable cross-body strap. This is not as thorough a post as I usually like to do, but I have an appointment that couldn't be moved this afternoon. I will see you later for another post as the Prince and Princess join the King and Queen at tonight's VE Day 80: A Celebration to Remember concert at Horse Guards Parade. I'll leave you with one more photo from the Abbey. VIDEOS:  The late Queen's recollections of VE Day in 1945. ‘I remember lines of unknown people linking arms and walking down Whitehall, all of us just swept along on a tide of happiness and relief.’ On this day in 1945, Queen Elizabeth II (then Princess Elizabeth) pulled down her uniform cap and merged incognito into the crowds in… pic.twitter.com/0zlFi9gCju — The Royal Family (@RoyalFamily) May 8, 2025 The Royal Family Channel covers the wreath-laying at the Abbey.  The Royal Family Channel also offers coverage of Royal Familymembers departing after the service.

It’s Victoria Beckham for British Fashion Awards and ‘Catherine’s Rose’ Announced – What Kate Wore

The Princess of Wales chose a Victoria Beckham suit for today's presentation of the Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design. Today's British Fashion Council awards ceremony was at London's 180 Studios, a network of production and exhibition spaces that supports emerging talent and provides a platform for creative growth. The award was initiated in recognition of the fashion industry's role in society and diplomacy and to spotlight young designers who are talented and making a difference to society through sustainable practices or community engagement. You may recall that the late Queen presented the inaugural Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design to Richard Quinn in 2018 during London Fashion Week. In 2022, the Duchess of Cambridge presented the award.  The winner that year was designer Saul Nash.  Other royal family members have presented the award, including King Charles. Today's ceremony showcased all of the talent support initiatives of the BFC Foundation, a charity run by the British Fashion Council. This year's winner is Patrick McDowell, a Liverpool-born, London-based designer. The Patrick McDowell site notes, Our collections are crafted from materials that are kinder to the planet and in ways that keep our makers and our clients in mind. We make-to-order pieces that fit and suit you perfectly. Designed and made in London, we work with the best artisans and cutters to create special collections from the finest materials. Each garment is made available in a limited quantity and individually numbered. Below, the designer, with his mother and the Princess. More from this story in the Daily Telegraph. “It’s such an honour to receive something like this, especially from the royal family,” McDowell told The Telegraph, adding that it feels like a “full circle moment”. The designer received a scholarship from the BFC to attend Central Saint Martins, and the brand they have since formed has always focused on British craftsmanship, working alongside the King’s Foundation scholarship students. A key element of the brand’s own code is circularity. It’s become known for limited-edition, made-to-order pieces crafted from planet-friendly materials in London. Each is intentionally designed to last, but there are also redesign and repair services available to maximise longevity. A closer look at the award. Below is a sampling of some of this spring's styles by Mr. McDowell: from left to right, the Elenore Dress, the Apollo Trouser, the Hades Dress, and the Aristaeus Blazer. The jacket worn by Mr. McDowell to accept the award today is crafted from ...a leftover Burberry Prince of Wales check - the very fabric donated for McDowell's graduate collection, neatly connecting past to present... per this piece in The Industry.Fashion.  And from The Standard's coverage.  McDowell introduced the royal to seamstresses from his studio, and he presented designs including a feathered, fuchsia floor length kaftan-shirt and a lime green slip. She was then joined by Chioma Nnadi, head of British Vogue, and former BFC CEO Caroline Rush, to meet a selection of London’s top young designers.   McDowell, the designer known for his high camp, incredibly sustainable practice, tells The Standard he is “incredibly honored and humbled to have won” and that the moment marks “a game changing step forward for the brand.” Another view of the Princess with today's winner. More from this People article by Simon Perry.  Designer Clio Peppiatt, who spoke with PEOPLE after meeting the royal at the event, says, She has such a huge influence on women and what women want to wear. She is very stylish and always looks impeccably turned out. The designer, 34, added that her influence has a trickle-down effect on the entire industry. A lot of the time, fashion is not seen at the same level as other arts and creative practices, so to have that support from the very top, it elevates the whole industry, she says. This image shows the Princess with British Fashion Council CEO, Laura Weir (soft green jacket), and designer Connor Ives. Mr. Ives is described by TheIndustry.Fashion this way: Like McDowell, Ives has been praised for his sustainable initiatives, using deadstock fabric and recycled vintage clothing to create offbeat collections that draw on streetwear and American youth culture.    In this image, the Princess speaks with jewelry designer Bleue Burnham. The Industry.Fashion notes Mr. Burnham is a London-based jewellery designer known for bold, nature-inspired pieces crafted from recycled metals and lab-grown gemstones. After launching his brand in 2018, he quickly gained recognition for colourful, textured designs that blend artistry with sustainability.   Now, let's look at what Kate wore. The Princess chose a look by Victoria Beckham for today's award presentation. The Patch-Pocket Jacket ($1250) is a signature style for the brand, a single-breasted style done in a polyester/wool blend with a touch of elastane for stretch and ease of movement. The blazer features notched lapels, shoulder pads, a center back vent, and the distinctive front pockets. It is in stock at Victoria Beckham ($1250), as well as at Nordstrom ($1250), Selfridges ($995), Italist ($875, vminimalsizes), Cettire ($870, very limited sizes), Bergdorf Goodman ($1250), and Farfetch ($1201). The Princess paired the jacket with Victoria Beckham's Alina Trouser ($750). The trousers are made of the same material as the jacket, with a high waist, straight, wide-leg silhouette, a front zipper, belt loops, and front and back patch pockets drawing on 1970s-style references. The trousers are in stock at Victoria Beckham ($750), Farfetch ($620), Nordstrom ($750), and Bergdorf Goodman ($750).  The blouse is by Knatchbull, the brand's Cascade Ruffle Blouse ($595) in 100% sandwashed silk satin. This photo offers a better look at the front of the blouse.  The blouse showcases a cascading ruffle down the front with elongated, fluted cuffs. Knatchbull is the only women's tailoring shop on Savile Row—more from this Fashion United story.  Daisy Knatchbull, founder of Knatchbull, said: “The name Knatchbull represents not just my legacy, but the legacy we’re building together – a world where women have access to the same sartorial power and confidence that tailoring has traditionally offered men. In the past five years, the brand has dressed more than 2,500 global clients, hosted trunk shows throughout the UK, Europe, and the US, and expanded its signature Made to Measure service with the introduction of a bridal service and a ready-to-wear offering. Thank you to Royal British Fashion for their speedy ID work today!  The Princess accessorized with the Celia Pumps ($750) from Ralph Lauren, which we have seen at recent engagements, a point-toe style in calfskin with a 4 heel in a colorway called Ralph Lauren Gold. And the late Queen's Bahrain Pearl and Diamond Drop Earrings, so-named because the pearls in the earrings were a wedding gift from the ruler of Bahrain to Princess Elizabeth for her wedding. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Also today, the Royal Horticultural Society announced this weekend they have named a new rose after the Princess of Wales, to celebrate the incredible healing power of nature and raise awareness of the important role that spending time outdoors plays in bringing us joy and supporting our mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing. Below, Catherine's Rose.   Harkness Roses bred the rose, and £5 from the sale of each rose plant will be donated to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity—more from a Kensington Palace news release below.   Clare Matterson, RHS Director General, said: “As well as supporting the incredible work of The Royal Marsden, Catherine’s Rose will raise awareness of how nature and gardening can help to heal.  We know how important this message is as every day we see how accessing nature and being outside is vital for our health and happiness.  “Crucially too, Harkness Roses has done a wonderful job breeding this spectacular rose that is going to bring so much joy to all our nation’s gardeners and keep our precious pollinators buzzing too!  It’s a really special rose.” This graphic, via the RHS, has more background on the rose. The rose will be displayed for the first time at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, which will run from May 20 to 24. The Royal Marsden noted, We are honoured to have Their Royal Highnesses The Prince and Princess of Wales as joint Patrons of our specialist cancer centre and we are very grateful to The Princess of Wales and the RHS for setting up this initiative and for the benefit it will bring to cancer patients everywhere. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Staying with the nature theme, yesterday, Kensington Palace released a video narrated by the Princess of Wales, kicking off Mental Health Awareness Week. Here is the message preceding the video.  SPRING.
