1. Telefonica Launches 5G Network in Spain Telefonica, one of Spain's largest telecom operators, has launched its 5G network, making it the first country in Europe to do so. The network, which is currently only available in Madrid and Barcelona, is expected to expand to other cities in the coming months. Telefonica To Acquire British Telecom Firm O2 Telefonica, Spain's largest telecommunications company, has agreed to acquire British telecom firm O2 for $15.6 billion.
