Tezer Özlü is a Turkish philosopher and author who has written extensively about the history of philosophy and the philosophy of modernity. She is well known for her work on the history of the Ottoman Empire and how it has been shaped by the cultural, philosophical, and political influences of the modern world. Her work has been translated into many languages, including English, French, Spanish, German, and Dutch. She is a professor at Istanbul Technical University and is a member of the International Institute for Advanced Studies in Istanbul.
