As Ottawa Senators GM Steve Staios sat down with the local media for the final time this season, there was no shortage of things to talk about. The club missed the playoffs for a seventh straight time this season and it now promises to be a summer filled with big storylines.

With the third-worst goals against average in the NHL, they’ve re-assigned goalie coach Zac Bierk and given his role to 37-year-old Justin Peters.Peters played 83 NHL games with Carolina, Washington, and Arizona and spent the last three-plus seasons as Belleville’s goaltending coach in the American Hockey League.
