We are excited to announce the continuation of our partnership with Capture Photography Festival, Western Canada’s largest lens-based art festival! This year we will be curating a public art installation which will be mounted at the Olympic Village Canada Line Station in Vancouver. This is an international open call for photographers and artists making lens-based work. The selected artist will be part of the 2026 Capture Photography Festival which will take place from April 1–30, 2026. The public art project will be on display from April–August 2026. The selected artist’s work will be featured in the 2026 Capture Catalogue and on the Capture and Booooooom websites. The artist will be paid a fee of approximately $775 CAD (the finalized artist fee will adhere to standard 2026 CARFAC fees for temporary public artworks in Canada). Last year, we selected Ning Cheng as the artist for our 2025 Capture Public Art Project—you can read our interview with her here.
