1. Scientists develop new way to detect COVID-19 in minutes Scientists have developed a new technique to detect COVID-19 in minutes using a device that can detect the virus in saliva samples. The device, called the Rapid-Q, is a handheld device that utilizes a simple colorimetric test to screen for the presence of the virus in saliva. The device is capable of providing results in as little as 10 minutes and can be used in hospitals, clinics, and other settings. The researchers behind the device say it is more accurate than existing rapid tests and could help speed up the diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19.
