Revani is a traditional Greek cake made with semolina, sugar, and citrus juice, usually served as a dessert. It is often served at Greek celebrations like Easter and Christmas. Revani is also popular in Turkey, Cyprus, and the Balkans. The cake is usually flavored with orange or lemon juice, and topped with a light syrup made from sugar, water, and lemon juice. It is also sometimes topped with ground almonds or pistachios. The cake is usually light and moist, and has a spongy texture.
Greek Revani (or ravani) with coconut is a light syrup soaked semolina cake that you will love! This cake is light and fluffy. The gorgeous texture is in part due to the semolina and the Greek yogourt with the flavours of coconut and orange throughout the cake. This is one of my mom's favourite desserts, and it is easy to know why!
